The article titled “Charlotte Water starts work on major portion of its $620M regional water treatment plant” provides in-depth coverage of the project’s scope. In the interview, Charlotte Water’s Deputy Director Ron Hargrove said “it will provide more localized wastewater treatment for customers in that part of the county and also afford Belmont and Mount Holly the opportunity to have more efficient treatment services for its customers and avoid expensive upgrades and expansions to the existing systems.”
