We had an awesome time at Riverfest on May 14th watching kayakers and soaking up the live music & fun vibes! The Catawba Riverkeeper hosts this festival annually in different locations along the river. This year the community gathered in the Kevin Loftin Riverfront Park in Belmont, which is just upstream of the new Belmont Pump Station that will be constructed as part of the Stowe Project. Our team presented information about the surveys underway for the new wastewater pipelines that will carry Belmont’s wastewater deep under the Catawba River to Charlotte Water’s Paw Creek Pump Station.
